So I gotta PUSH.....

What's good wit world??? I've been progressing busy as all hell. Since I wrote, went to a 1500 or Nothin session at Studio Atlantis in Hollywood. If you aren't up on 1500 or Nothin then you need to Google them. It was really a different kind of session then I had ever been in. There are two rooms at Atlantis, Studio A and C. There where writers everywhere, the studios, hallways, lounge area the shit was crazy!!! There was most definitely a vibe going on and most importantly working was getting DONE!!! Sarah from 1st and 15th was in the building cutting records. A&R's where in the building checking on progress. I met a lot of talented people through my nigga Larrance. He is one half of the production team (1500 or Nothin) with MARS.

I got with one of there affiliates Knotch, who is a HOT producer. He burned me a disc of some shit before I left the studio....Pure Fire. He just lock up like 3 placements on project.

I went to the studio the other day to record a remix for a good friend of mine. Be on the look out for that. Once the paperwork is taken care of I will be posting it. I have post two songs on myspace...check me out there (www.myspace.com/lackofflaws). While I was at the studio I knocked out "Push" (Produced by Knoxville) and I let my constituents hear it and they went nuts!!! Big ups to Knoxville and the whole Olympicks team!!!

I will be in the studio for the next week or so, grinding away at the album. REAL TALK w/ FLAWLESS!!!! Urban Network Radio Friday's from 4-5pm!!! REAL TALK REWIND (if you missed it) Saturday's 2-3pm!!! (www.urbannetwork.com/themix.html).

Undefeated...

Friday, I went to the specialty shop known around the world as Undefeated. My man Jay holds me down as seen in the picture below..."I'm thinkin of creating a line called 'Studio Wear' cuz you really want to be comfortable to make the best records possible"

Moving along though, the album is moving in a very different direction then I originally intended. Different producers then I expected, different sound then I was accustomed to. I'm sorry but those shoes are sick....Anyway got some sessions coming up, recording the "meat" of the album and it sounds damn well so far. Stay posted for more details....

Many Days Late...

What's up everybody? I hope that you all have taking care of yourselves and your business, cuz I have!!!! Over the past few weeks I have not been blogging as I should and that is totally my fault. Almost makes me glad that Im not famous because the label would be calling and throwing all kinds of negative superlatives around. Anyway moving along, let me give you a quick run down on all that I have been up too lately.

"Best Men", is in the books its going on the album. I have been steadily working with new producers, I really don't want to put them out there and their records dont make the final cut...That would be all bad!!! Some other confirmed tracks that are going on the album as of today are, "Push" which was produced by Knoxville of the Olympicks. "Never Enough", was produced by Markus Knight. So the album is moving along actually at a cool phase at the moment.

I attended Young Jeezy's listening party over the last month and he had some real dope records on "The Recession"...SEPT 2.....go get that!!!! Big Jon Platt was also in the building, so for those of you that don't know who he is EVP of EMI Music Publishing, get with it or....dont get paid...PUB is where the money is in the Music Business (FREE TIP, any more inside info you can expect an invoice).

Man tonight I met Jimmy Iovine...he really is one of the coolest cats in the industry so I figured that stands on its own.....

To much to write about I will continue this recap over the next few days, Stay up!!!!!!

Music....

You know I've really just been focused on the music aspect of my career. I have my business team in place so that allows me to go to a creative space and shit...CREATE! Its been so long since thats been my only concern. "Best Men" the first song that I recorded for the album, has been going through the mixing phase. I usually sit in on my mixing sessions with my engineers, but scheduling was an issue so I had to submit mix notes. This was exactly the first time that I had to create notes. I guess it makes me better because it allowed me to really sit and think of the best way to describe what I hear and put it on paper.

Footage is coming I swear.......

First Record

I had two recording sessions this week with John Q of Royal XVI. The name of the song is "Best Men" which is about my three closet friends and bothers. There are some lines in the song that some people might say I was dissing them, but its all love. I want to thank PRO, John Q, and Da Shiek (The Engineer) for all there hardwork. The record came out great, I'm really happy with the sound that the record will have. I got pics and video footage so check out my Youtube account, www.youtube.com/lackofflaws in the coming weeks to see all studio footage of "To Be Announced..."

I have some sessions in the coming week or so, so check back and follow me through this journey of making my debut album, "To Be Announced..."

Producers...

Whats going on with the world? I have been in three production sessions for my album and I am just now blogging bout it. Flaw's nutty pay me know mind. Anyway the first producer up on my Production Schedule was Willie B of the 1500 or Nothin camp. We went to the session and I met Willie and his engineer and songwriter parter Stix. Willie played some joints, I mean the dude has an amazing talent for picking sounds. We are going to get back together to see what can come out, maybe make some magic.

2nd up was......my man John Ho (P.K.A Royal XVI) I met up with him through his manager PRO. The session was set up with the manager and we rolled through. My man John Q looks just like Chad from the Nepts...LOL. He played me 10 records and I wanted 2 off the rip. I told him and his manager, "Don't play these for nobody else!". We are going to record them in the coming weeks. I have video footage of this session, I'll put it up maybe....

Remember Stix from the session with Willie B, put me in touch with another producer that he felt could contribute to the project. Seige, dude has some industry credits he did some records on Tyrese last album, some mixtape joints with Weezy, but as of late.....Busta Rhymes new album "Blessed". Seige is one of the few producers that made me excited before I even heard a beat or past work. He is really just a good dude at heart, and we are getting together this week to get it in on this album.

Now when I first began this album process, I had a handful of producers that I felt I would work with. Since then my list has tripled, but this is real life everyone can't make the cut. But to any producer that has taken an interest in my career then I appreciate it. I will post some studio picks next week and some footage.

So I did my thing at The World Famous Roxy a week ago and I'm just know blogging about it...hey don't you judge me I trying..LOL. Met and hung up with alot of good peoples, you know some that I already know and some I didn't. The venue was packed though with industry cats and artist, The Roots, The Nuts and many others where in attendance. I had fun big ups to Uncle Pauly for all that he did for me and Ace my nigga in the hole.

I kicked it with my niggaz, two of the members of Nappy Roots (Skinny Deville and Fish Scales) we went out to Can-Am to see Focus and try to lock up some big business, I'll keep you all in the loop as that develops. Maani Edwards of Universal Music Publishing and I have been in convo about some potential opportunities.

I got some sessions coming u for the album. Time to go in and knockout the framework of the album some other producers have something to build off of. Other than that just writing for others at the moment lets see if we can make something stick.

Crazy Weekend

I spend a good portion of my time trying to make things happen. This weekend I really just had to sit back and let it play out. As a kid of the westside of the "D" I only know about some of the places, people, and experiences that I now first hand. Just Blaze, 9th Wonder, Pete Rock, Mike Chav, and my homie Jay Electronica where all in LA to take care of some press for the Rock the Bells Tour. I know Mike Chav and Jay from back in the D through a mutual friend Johnny. So I get the phone call that they are all in town and that I should make sure I'm available to roll.

Sunday, I get the call that everyone was staying at the Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Blvd. *Side note: The Roosevelt is a beautiful hotel like some shit you've never seen before...High Vault Ceiling and etc, etc...(Look at me getting my Mr. Martha Stewart on..LOL)*

Cool peeps, they all are real cool peoples. But anyway moving on I have a show tonight. Gotta go take care of business, Mint Condition is also having their listening party at the event so it'll be good to see them all again. Other then that keep grindin....

From the desk of....

Me, Flawless, Warren Griffin, Jr. I hold many names, brother, son, mentor, lover, artist, businessman, homie, and more that could go on forever. I created this blog to keep you all posted on what I am encountering in this business we call entertainment as well as everyday life.

Today was a grinding day as is every other. I of course hit up myspace and updated my friends and returned messages. i talked to the producer that created my first record that is getting a large following in the streets as well as in the industry, "Get Ya Hustle On". Talked to my man Scrap Dirty of Violator DJ's which is a division of Violator Management for those of you that don't know. We chopped it up and some his DJ's have been spinning the record at clubs, mixshows, and satellite radio stations across the country, gotta love that!!! Royalty statements people!!!!! Talked to management about an endorsement deal that is in the works. (Big Business) All in all a very productive day at the office.
